Other-Worldly Plantae is my first return to a series of work entitled Galactic Flowers. A free standing steel sculpture which is floral in feeling. But these pieces suggest alien life forms. Inspired by my love of science fiction novels, I continue to return to these themes.

Each form rising from the base is different in feeling. Some texture is created by welds.

It has both blocky and flowing elements. There is coloration which is attained by flame torching the steel. A very enigmatic and engaging piece for the viewer.
