Twenty Fifteen is the first piece I started for my Planetary Landscapes series.This dramatic outdoor sculpture would work in both an urban or bucolic setting. Painted steel piping creates the feeling of the stark landscape of an unknown planet. It's central piece is a rusted found object suggesting a rising moon. The coloring gradates from black into gray as if the formation has been charred. Silver paint bleeds from the tops of some of the tubing. The moon-like piece was rubbed with pigment powder.
